" As in any other field, spiritual intuitions are amenable to intersubjective consensus, and refutation. Just as mathematicians can enjoy mutually intelligible dialogue on abstract ideas (though they will not always agree about what is intuitively 'obvious'), just as athletes can communicate effectively about the pleasures of sport, mystics can consensually elucidate the data of their sphere. Thus, genuine mysticism can be 'objective'-- in the only normative sense of this word that is worth retaining-- in that it need not be contaminated by dogma. As a phenomenon to be studied, spiritual experience is no more refractory that dreams, emotions, perpetual illusions, or, indeed, thoughts themselves."

I greatly agree with the passage above. Spirituality should be something that you can talk about naturally, just as we do with sports. We should not keep our supernatural experiences to ourselves; we should gladly share them to an open ear. Just as we learn that anything with breath shall praise Him, they should also bring other to Him. Talking about God should not be so taboo, it should not be a big deal because we can talk about many other things with ease.

I believe that this statement above is correct. Often religion is seen with a cloud in front of it. The way we interpret our spirituality is not seen to be "obvious". In some peoples eyes, religion is a whole process with shouting and requires a deep level of intuition and thought. But the answers and keys are much closer than we think. If we remove the cloud that surrounds the "spiritual mysticism" or the dogma from it, we can see it more purely and truly for what it is. Once the "cloud" is removed, people would be able to openly express their spiritual feelings and others would be able to understand it clearly themselves. There would be no more confusion skepticism over what we need to do to openly express our spiritual pleasure.

I completely agree with the statement above. My interpretation of this statement is that we as believers often code switch from church to the world. When in reality there should be no difference between the two we should put the word of GOD in our everyday conversation. We should be bringing up GOD as often as we bring up sports or more often then we talk about others. The bible says in Psalm 34:1 (KJV) "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth'' I think we sometimes forget that.

I think this quote is saying that spiritual topics should be communicated in a casual way between people. It should be the same way that mathematicians or athletes talk about something they are passionate about. It also says that spiritual feelings / intuitions are not much different than, or connected to dreams, emotions, and thoughts.

This paragraph is talking about how the ideal Mystican should think and talk about their religion, like Mathematicians think and talk about math, and we should be close to god so that talking to him and praising him should kind of be uncontrollable, like thoughts and dreams,.

This passage is talking about how different types of fields have their own dialogue. Different people can understand each other based upon their common interests with each other.
